Another day another update as Bacchus Marsh fights COVID.

Yesterday we reported that 8 teachers and one student at Bacchus Marsh Grammar had tested positive to COVID19, while the BP service station in Maddingley was closed for deep cleaning after a positive case in Wednesday July 14th.

So far today there has been no new updates relating to positive test results from the Bacchus Marsh community however there has been another Tier 1 hotspot identified.

A post on their Facebook page says they were notified yesterday afternoon by authorities that a positive case had visited the gym.

“Thankfully for our thorough tracing system at Shape It, we were able to identify the very few members who were in at the same time as the infected member.” the post said.

“We would like to reassure our members and the general public that we have been following and going above and beyond what has been advised by the CHO in our general cleaning of the gym and will today be undergoing a deep clean”

“Let’s do the right thing and stay home and fingers crossed we will see you all back at Shape It Fitness in the very near future.”

Like Bacchus Marsh Grammar, Shape It Fitness has not yet been added to the exposure sites map.

The has been some movement on the map however with a Bacchus Marsh College bus interchange named as a Tier 1 hotspot.

People who used the interchange on July 14 between 8:21am and 8:41am are to get tested and immediately isolate for 14 days.

People who used Cristian’s Bus (Bacchus Marsh Coaches) from Ballan/Greendale to Bacchus Marsh via Hallets way, Bacchus Marsh between 8:10am – 8:30am and 3:00pm to 4:00pm on July 14 also required to isolate and get tested.

CONFIRMED TIMES FOR TESTING CLINICS IN MOORABOOL
Bacchus Marsh Railway Station: 8am to 8pm
Ballan Railway Station: 10am to 5pm.

If you have any symptoms, however mild, you should get tested immediately.
Symptoms… Fever, Chills, Sweats, Cough, Sore throat, Shortness of breath, Runny nose, Loss of sense of taste or smell.
