Bacchus Marsh Grammar has confirmed that 4 teachers from the Maddingley College campus have tested positive to COVID19.

It is believed three of the cases contracted COVID from a teacher during a staff development day on Monday.

Three teachers have since tested positive and according to the schools principal “Unfortunately, some of the recent infected staff have been in direct contact with students”

With cases popping up all over Victoria, the demand for COVID testing has seen a sharp increase. The Moorabool Shire Council have this morning posted on Facebook that the COVID testing station at the Bacchus Marsh railway station is currently suspended due to excess traffic.

Testing at Melton is also very busy and the shire are advising people to go to the Melbourne Showgrounds for testing due to that location being a supersite.

The COVID testing station at Ballan has moved to Sebastopol due to positive cases being linked to Clarendon College in Ballarat.

No new hotspot sites have been identified in Western Regional Victoria other than the Ballan Mobil/McDonalds site.

The BP Service station at Truganina has overnight been listed as a Tier 22 hotspot. It is believed a case visited the site at 7:15am on Tuesday 13th July.
