Today in Melton, most service stations were selling fuel for 128.8. The price this evening at some servo’s has sky rocketted to 169.9 per litre.

In Bacchus Marsh, the current lowest price is 131.9 while Geelong and Wyndham have also seen price increase of 40c per litre.

Good Friday is one of the busiest days on our roads as many families are taking off for a weekend away.

According to the RACV, fuel prices below 130c per litre is currently considered fair given the current price of fuel wholesale is around 123.2 cents per litre.

Our advice is to shop around and install the ‘Petrol Spy’ app on your smart phone to help find the cheapest fuel in your area and holiday destinations.

The RACV also have a website you can use to help find the cheapest fuel prices around.
