MONDAY UPDATE – Worksafe has since confirmed the accident happened on private property and was not work-related.

SUNDAY – A woman is fighting for life after emergency services pulled her from a tractor rollover south of Ballarat, where it is understood she was trapped for around six hours.

Police said the alarm was raised at 5pm to Spratlings Rd, Ross Creek.

An air ambulance arrived just before 6pm where three fire vehicles – including a rescue unit –  police and road ambulance crews were working to stabilize and free the woman, who is believed to be in her 50s.

Witnesses at the scene said she was taken to hospital by road ambulance around 7pm.

Worksafe has been notified.
