With COVID19 now spreading again in Victoria and requirements for people who have been in NSW to get tested, the COVID testing site at Barries Road, Melton is once again very large.

Witnesses have counted at least 80 cars waiting with the line stretching back past Bunnings and as far back at the exit of the McDonalds/KFC car park.

Rules about border crossing are rapidly changing. If you have visited NSW in the last week, you are required to get tested and quarantine for 14 days regardless of your test results.

At the moment, you can leave Victoria, but you should check the border crossing requirements for the state you wish to visit.

Victoria has recorded 12 new cases in the last 24 hours. 10 of these are in the community while there are 2 in hotel quarantine.

There has been a mixed reaction to the large number of people waiting for COVID tests.

“This is ridiculous. Panic testing at its best” – Ben

“If all of those people have symptoms then that is very concerning” – Jackie

“WELL DONE!!! This is brilliant! Great to see people doping the right thing. Let’s hope there isn’t a third wave.” – Pip
