Police have located human remains in a mine shaft in Snake Valley as part of the investigation into the disappearance of missing Ballarat woman Kobie Parfitt.

The remains were discovered at 1.30pm yesterday near Kellys Track and are yet to be formally identified.

The 43-year-old mother-of-four was last seen at a property in Hickman Street White Flat on April 28.

Today detectives spoke to a 31-year-old Mount Clear woman in relation to Kobie’s disappearance. She has been released without charge.

Investigators are expecting to speak to other people in coming days.
