Police from the Missing Persons Squad and Search and Rescue Squad are back in Ballarat, and believe it is “only a matter of time” before they find the body of missing mother Kobie Parfitt.

Police are searching bushland along the Pittong-Snake Valley Road in Snake Valley.

Detectives have already searched properties in relation to the 43-year-old’s suspicious disappearance.

Police said they had been able to confirm the mother-of-four was last seen alive at a property on Hickman Street, White Flat on April 28.

Detectives have followed up on a number of new leads.

Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper of the Missing Persons Squad said police believed they were closing in on those responsible for Kobie’s death.

“We have returned to the area a number of times as part of this investigation and will continue to return each time we receive new information,” he said.

“There are definitely people in the Ballarat community who know what happened to Kobie.

“Again, we’re asking anyone with information regarding Kobie’s disappearance or who knows who is responsible for her death, to speak to police.” Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
