Police have arrested a 16-year-old Caroline Springs boy after an armed robbery near the local library.
Investigators have been told a 15-year-old boy was in the vicinity of Caroline Springs Boulevard when he was approached by a group of males about 5.35pm yesterday (Sunday).

Video of the incident – which involved a large number of onlookers – has been circulating on social media and police are urging anyone with footage or CCTV to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
One of the males hit the teen to the head with a metal object and stole a phone before the group fled on foot.
The Burnside Heights teen was taken to hospital for a laceration to his head.
Police arrested and interviewed the 16-year-old – and he has since been released pending further enquiries.
