Police are asking for witnesses to come forward, after a crash which has left a 50-year-old Caroline Springs driver fighting for life with head injuries.

Southbank police believe his white Ford ute collided with the barriers and four other vehicles in the outbound lanes of the West Gate Bridge at Port Melbourne, just before 4.30pm

The driver of the Ford was the sole occupants of the ute. No other people were seriously injured

Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or with dash cam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
