Halloween not your thing?

How about Pug-o-ween this weekend?

The worldwide phenomenon has come to Moorabool – with the first informal get-together of Pugs and other small dogs in costume at Peppertree Park this Saturday from 11am-2pm.

Organiser Larissa Weston said doggy fancy-dress, an obstacle course, photo-booth and more were planned on the day.

“We have a Pug called Maxx and we went to a Pug-o-ween in Melbourne a few years ago. It was so much fun,” the Maddingley woman said.

“It’s for any age group – and there’s no money required.

“People normally dress up their dogs if they can – and it doesn’t necessarily have to be a spooky theme. It could be anything.

“We’re keeping it low-key and using social distancing.”

Peppertree Park is on off-leash area, but owners are encouraged to have their dogs on leads on the day.

Pug-o-ween events across the world are normally held to raise money for dog rescue charities. Check out this footage from the UK…
