Police have fined a woman from the stage 4 metro lockdown area for attending a beauty salon in Bacchus March.

The woman was fined yesterday after officers discovered she lived in Rockbank.

The fine was among 56 issued on Tuesday to individuals breaching the Chief health Officer’s directions.

Police also fined 12 people for failing to wear face coverings.

Nine people were also fined at vehicles checkpoints and 25,799 vehicles inspected.

The number of spot checks on homes, businesses and public places continues to decline, with just 1732 carried out across the state across the day.

The City of Melton has 11 active COVID19 cases and Moorabool has recorded none since September 29.

If you need to be tested, Djerriwarrh Health Services has a drive-through clinic in Barries Rd Melton, open 9am-4.30pm weekdays and 9am-12pm Sundays and public holidays. It is now closed on Saturdays.

People can also book a test at Darley Medical Centre on 5367 5000.

In Ballarat, you can still get tested at UFS Lucas (bookings 4311 1571), but only if you have symptoms.
