ADVERTORIAL

A message from Ben Davison

This council election, people have a choice to make.

We can choose the future that I’m campaigning for, where council focuses on jobs, on our roads, on engaging with our community and delivering the services people need and want – or we can keep things as they have been.

Being on council is no-one’s birthright.

It’s a privilege granted by the people, to serve our community.

My focus is on what the people of the Central Ward of the Moorabool Shire have been telling me directly:  they want and need to recover from the pandemic.

Working together, we can grow our local businesses to create more jobs, make our roads safer, manage our rubbish and make the most of all the great natural opportunities this beautiful part of the world has to offer.

That does mean defending the area against inappropriate developments, like AusNet’s overhead transmission wires.

It also means working with people from all different walks of life and with all different types of opinions.

It means being able to show other people respect.

I’ve cast my vote for a change on council and it is in the mail. Have you completed your ballot yet?Don’t forget to complete your ballot and place it in the mail ASAP.

It means knowing what is and isn’t acceptable in public meetings and on public forums, so we are encouraging people to participate.

Our community needs the voice of the people of Moorabool to be heard in the council decisions that impact their lives.

I’m upfront about who I am. I’m open about my values and how they drive my decisions and my actions, because I know that honesty is the basis of constructive relationships and effective decision-making. I say what I mean, I do what I say – and I stand by it.

If I’m elected, I’ll work with our community, our businesses, our workers and our service providers to build a better Moorabool.

This election it’s time for a change on council.

Vote 1 Ben Davison.
