A planned upgrade has caused hundreds of Telstra customers to lose internet for at least 30 minutes overnight.

The outage was first reported around 12:00am which is in line with the planned work notification sent out by Telstra.

Telstra have been upgrading much of the infrastructure in Moorabool, with 5G towers and other upgrades recently to the mobile network.

The outage last night was an upgrade for landline home and internet connections. We had reports of internet outages in Bacchus Marsh, Ballan & surrounding areas.

After upgrade works, it is likely that some customers will not automatically reconnect to their service provider. If you’re experiencing internet connection problems this morning, a reset of your modem may help.
