It’s August 18, and those without family in Sutton Park aged care are unaware of the unfolding drama as 35 people linked to the facilty are diagnosed with COVID19. 21 residents, 11 staff and three close contacts were given the news that they had contracted coronavirus.

A week later, the cluster grew from 35 known cases to 46 linked to the home. Made up of 29 residents & 15 staff.

Today we asked for an update from Sutton Park, There have been 4 new cases detected over the last few days. There is some good news however, with 18 effected residents have dropped from the active list, meaning there is now only 15 residents are still affected by COVID19.

A family member of someone who lives in the facility has told us residents are being tested every three days to ensure any new cases are caught quickly.

Yesterday figures reported that Melton LGA had a total of 142 active cases, 1082 since the pandemic began.

Afternoon drinks always make us smile.
