Victoria has today recorded a massive 41 deaths due to COVID19 despite only recording 73 new cases. 22 of the reported deaths are from cases in nursing homes that have gone unreported during the weeks leading up to today.

It comes as Deputy Cheif Medical Officer said it is unlikely that stage 4 restrictions will end in two weeks as scheduled. The current scheduled stage 4 restriction end date is September 14th.

Over the weekend groups of protesters were videoed in Dandenong, Meadow Heights and Broadmeadows. Facebook users were were quick to condemn the behavior suggesting a lockdown will last longer if these types of gatherings continue.

Melton LGA active cases dropped by 5 overnight despite an additional 11 cases of COVID19 added to the tally. This leaves Melton with a total of 1082 with 142 active.

Moorabool and Ballarat remain unchanged. Moorabool currently has 14 active cases, Ballarat six.

Wyndham is still the largest effected are with 286 active cases and a total of 2092 since the pandemic began.

Greater Geelong have 50 active cases, also a reduction in active cases overnight.

## COVID19 symptoms include cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss of smell.

If you need to be tested, Djerriwarrh Health Services has a drive-through clinic in Barries Rd Melton, open the new hours of 9am-4.30pm weekdays and 9am-12pm weekends.

People can also book a test at Darley Medical Centre on 5367 5000.

In Ballarat, you can get tested at UFS Lucas (bookings 4311 1571), but only if you have symptoms.

You can also get a test at Ballarat’s Senior Citizens Centre, 16 Little Bridge St, 9am-2pm 7-days  (1800 054 172).

Interstate truckers or people awaiting surgery can get tested at Australian Clinical Labs, 110 Drummond St Nth, Ballarat, but they will need a GP referral.

Until 28 July 2021, Worksafe must be notified on 13 23 60 when employers or self-employed people become aware of a confirmed diagnosis.
