For the fist time in 55 days, Victoria has recorded less than 100 new COVID19 cases. Closer to us, Melton LGA inscreases by 7 while Ballarat and Moorabool hold steady again.

Melton LGA currently has 159 active cases, 5 less than yesterday. Melton LGA has had a total of 1068 cases since the pandemic began.

DHHS figures show Moorabool has held firm, with no new cases of the virus detected and one case dropping off the active list.

The same can be said for Ballarat, with no new cases. Ballarat has 6 on the active list.

There are currently 177 active cases across regional areas, with 59 active cases in Greater Geelong, 16 active cases in Greater Bendigo.

Ballarat Health Services is currently providing care to two (2) COVID-19 positive cases within their own homes in the community.

Despite Victoria’s case numbers beginning to stabilise, Premeir Daniel Andrews again urged anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to get tested.

Meeting With Nurses

Our nurses are spending close to every waking hour at work – but these legends still took time out of their busy days to catch up with me.It gave me a chance to hear first-hand about some of the challenges they're facing – and to make sure they have every bit of support they need. And I wanted to thank them in person for the incredible job they're doing each and every day.To everyone keeping our healthcare system going – from the cleaners to the medical staff. From the cooks to those working in aged care and disability support:We thank you for your courage and compassion. We couldn't do any of this without you.
