A man has been extricated from a vehicle at Korweinguboora and is being flown to Melbourne (4.30pm) in a critical condition after an accident on the Ballan-Daylesford Rd.

The alarm was raised at 3.15pm (Friday) to an area near Calders Lane, north of the Spargo Creek football ground

Ballan Police (pictured above) are diverting Daylesford-bound traffic via Spargo Creek Rd to Barkstead and Pootilla.

The roadblock was still in place at 5.20pm.

Six CFA vehicles have attended from Ballan, Daylesford and Leonards Hill.

The CFA said the scene was under control by 3.36pm.

** It comes during a terrible afternoon for accidents, with other incidents in Kurunjang and Melton South – and all of them within a 90-minute window.
