Melton retailers JB Hifi and Hairhouse Warehouse were confirmed to be closed on Monday and Tuesday due to COVID19.

A memorandum sent to retailers at Woodgrove dated Monday (July 28) said there were two positive cases and both retailers were working with Health and Human Services to resolve the issue.

The memo said the JB Hifi staff member who tested positive was last in the the store on Monday July 20 and confirmed positive a week later. The Hairhouse Warehouse employee tested positive on Tuesday July 28 and was last in the store on Friday July 24.

Both retailers have undergone deep cleaning with JB Hifi re-opening yesterday morning and Hairhouse Warehouse due to re-open Thursday.

Both retailers are assisting DHHS with contact tracing to identify individuals who may be at risk.

“Woodgrove Centre Management continues to carry out a range of in-Centre initiatives to help mitigate infection transmission risks, in line with advice from the Australian Government Department of Health,” the memo said.

This news comes as a nearby McDonalds closed its doors on Monday and later reopened. Two education facilities have also been forced to close in the last few days: Melton Secondary College and Happy Feet Early Leaning Centre in Melton West.

If you need to be tested, Djerriwarrh Health Services has a drive-through clinic in Barries Rd Melton, open 10.30am-6pm weekdays and 9am-12pm weekends.

People can also book a test at Darley Medical Centre on 5367 5000.
