Closures of buildings have been reported across the suburb of Melton, as 34 fresh cases in have been confirmed across the municipality today (Monday).

Families at Melton Secondary College have been informed of a 24-hour campus closure “while we await further advice”.

It affects VCE and VCAL classes and Year 9 Course Counselling which have all been cancelled for the day.

The letter does not specify if the person with the virus was a visitor, staffmember or one of the 1100-plus students.

Year 7-10 remote learning will continue as planned tomorrow.

** Meanwhile, locals are also reporting the closure of other shops in the suburb including an electronics business.

Happy Feet Early Learning Centre in West Melton has shut due to a COVID19 case. A sign on the door (main image) advises that the Bulmans Rd facility has been closed until further notice.

The entry and exit to McDonalds at Woodgrove is currently closed (9.30pm Monday), including the drive-through area. When contacted, staff at the restaurant would not comment on the closure.

## COVID19 symptoms include cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose and loss of smell.

If you need to be tested, Djerriwarrh Health Services has a drive-through clinic in Barries Rd Melton, open 10.30am-6pm weekdays and 9am-12pm weekends.

People can also book a test at Darley Medical Centre on 5367 5000.

A new clinic is also being set up at Ballarat Senior Citizens Centre, 16 Little Bridge Street – open 9am-2pm 7-days. Bookings: 1800 154 172.
