Melton active cases have again increased with 4 new positive results in the last 24 hours. Melton again has surged to 20 active cases according to stats released by DHHS today.
In the top 5 active cases for Victoria sit Hume (145), Wyndham (105) and Brimbank (77) all sharing borders with Melton LGA.
Other LGA’s struggling to contain numbers are Melbourne (97), Moonee Valley (50), Moreland (38), Whittlesea (36), Maribyrnong (21) and Casey (20).
Moorabool is still sitting on zero active cases and has been since March.
Melton LGA covers a large area including Taylors Hill, Rockbank, Caroline Springs and Eynesbury. While we are given number for the entire LGA, we are not given stats on specific suburbs. We do know there are at least 2 active cases in Melton.
What is alarming, is Victoria has now recorded its largest spike in cases for the second day running with 191 new cases in the last 24 hours.

News outlets across Australia are reporting that Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is currently engaged in crisis talks about a possible 4-week state-wide lock down.
