Premier Daniel Andrews has today announced further restrictions for Metropolitan Melbourne. This comes as he announced that today, we will pass 1 million tests since January 1st.

Stage 3 lock down announced for Metropolitan area as of midnight tomorrow (08/07/2020) for 6 weeks.
Regional Victoria has very little cases, so the lock down means people in metropolitan Melbourne will be unable to travel to regional Victoria. This means that people from Melton will be unable to travel to Bacchus Marsh and other Moorabool shire suburbs unless its for one of the 4 approved reasons. (listed further down)
Metropolitan schools from Monday, Year year 11, 12 students will return to face to face learning. This includes year 10 students doing VCE subjects.
Specialist schools will also re-open for face to face learning from Monday.
All other students in metro areas will have an extra week of holidays. Teachers will be at work planning for further education for the remaining of term 3. There will be a supervised school holidays for essential working parents.
Students at regional schools will go back for term 3 as planned on July 13th.

If you live in one of these areas listed below, there will once again only be 4 reasons to leave home:
- Shopping for food and supplies
- Medical care and care giving
- Exercise and recreation
- Study and work – if you can’t do it from home
Additionally, there will only be 3 reasons to cross the border of these metropolitan areas:
