A pre-dawn blaze on a Millbrook farm has ripped through three farm sheds and destroyed two tractors.

The CFA was first alerted at 4.27am and when the first crews arrived at the Old Melbourne Rd site, they found a machinery shed fully alight.

Nine fire vehicles were called in with CFA volunteers turning up from Ballan, Gordon, Millbrook and Wallace as well as two career-firefighter crews from the Ballarat City FRV (Fire Rescue Victoria) brigade – now known as ‘Station 67’.

The fire was under control by 5.19am.

Ballarat City firefighters remained on scene for a number of hours until the blaze was extinguished.

Fire investigators were called in and the blaze has been deemed not suspicious.
