Since the start of the pandemic, Victorians have been warned how fast spreading the COVID-19 virus is. We have endured months of social distancing and isolation to try and curb the spread of the virus.
Victoria is now in the grips of a new wave, bucking the trend of the rest of Victoria. There were 41 new cases again reported overnight with 204 being active.
The good news is, the higher numbers are coming from shires not connected to Moorabool. Hume (109), Melbourne (100), Brimbank (105) and Casey (99) lead the way.
The area with the most active cases that does border Moorabool shire is Melton with 5 active cases, (52 overall).
Other areas with borders to Moorabool include, Greater Geelong (66), Ballarat (11), Macedon Ranges (9), Hepburn (2). None of these shires have active cases.
Moorabool, currently has no active cases and has only had 3 cases since the start of the pandemic. The last recorded case in Moorabool was on 24th May.
