Police are using their dogged determination to make the Bacchus Marsh station more pet-friendly.

Two officers have been given clearance to bring their dogs to bring their beloved pooches to work.

Golden Retriever ‘Constable Molly’ (pictured) has been chilling out at the Main St station with her owner – together with buddy ‘Max’.

“Bringing our pets has just been authorised,” Leading Senior Constable Yvette Brown said.

“Molly for example, is a good calming influence at the station.”

The dogs usually stay in a courtyard at the complex – complete with its own jail cell dating back to 1857.

The current police station was built around the Heritage Victoria-listed lockup in 2002.
