The company wanting to build a series of 80m high power pylons across Moorabool has released more information on the project and come up with an interactive map allowing people to mark areas they feel are significant.
The proposed 190km line would link windfarms at Bulgana near Ararat to Sydenham in Melbourne’s west.
The Western Victoria Transmission Network project map shows a narrowed area of interest around Ballan, Myrniong and Greendale.
Melton, Coimadai, Darley, Creswick and Lexton are also likely to be impacted.
Project organisers Ausnet are now asking locals for help:
“We need your help to build our knowledge about the area of interest. This information, alongside publicly available information and technical investigations will help us to determine a preferred corridor to study as part of our detailed investigations.
You can help the planning process by marking important areas on the interactive map here.
