After being closed for much of the COVID-19 pandemic, one of Moorabool’s biggest tourist drawcards is lower the drawbridge, in time for the school term break.

With the easing of Government restrictions, Kryal Castle will re-open Saturday-week (June 27).

“The safety and wellbeing of guests and team members is our utmost priority, noting crowd numbers and hygiene best practice,” General Manager Melissa Dimond said.

“There will be some changes to our operation to ensure everyone’s safety.  Our outdoor castle allows visitors to practice social distancing while enjoying an entertaining day with friends and family”

General admission tickets will need to be bought online at to monitor numbers and make sure social distancing takes place.

Kryal Castle also has 22 on-site accommodation suites, which will also be available to ‘escape the everyday’

“We’re thrilled to be able to open in time for the school holidays, it’s a great boost for our hardworking staff and for the Moorabool and Ballarat regions,” Ms Dimond said. 

“Our team have been working hard to ensure a new and exciting program for all.”

Open every day from 10am to 4pm during the school holidays
(27 June – 12 July). 

Open Every Weekend, 10am – 4pm. 18th July – 13th of September.
