It has been a long haul for our food & beverage businesses throughout the COVID19 pandemic. Businesses have resorted to takeaway meals and contact free pickups to stay afloat during these unprecedented times.
Today however, one of Ballan’s favourite eateries is re-open to diners.
The Commercial Hotel in Ballan has used the downtime to renovate and freshen up its look. 28 diners will be able to dine in at The Commercial Hotel from today across two dining rooms.
Staff are aware of the cleaning and social distancing requirements and will be taking precautions to ensure the strict regulations are met.
There is a sense of nervousness about re-opening, which is why The Commercial Hotel is re-opening slowly and carefully. “We want to get the bar and dining room open, so people are able to socialise again” said owner Jill O’Connor.
“Throughout this trying time, we have had great support from our customers and would like to thank them sincerely”
“CUB have been running a campaign to “Save your local” and we are looking forward to thanking all that contributed personally with a pint, a great effort and thank-you.”
While the business can have dine in customers, The Commercial Hotel will also continue its take-away menu. “Take-Away has really been supported by the locals and we thank them for their ongoing support” Ms O’Connor said.
Due to the restrictions, spaces are limited to just 28 people. It is important that you book a table in advance. You can book a table by calling 03 5368 2032 or via the Commercial Hotel – Ballan Facebook Page.
