There’s been a lucky escape for the occupants of a car that hit a powerpole in Bennett Street Bacchus Marsh this afternoon (Wednesday).

The CFA said the alarm was raised at 3.30pm, near the northern entrance to the Bacchus Marsh Village Shopping Centre.

Volunteer firefighters washed away debris.

The scene was under control by 3.38pm.

Paramedics attended but did not treat anyone.

Bacchus Marsh Police were also on scene.
