Weekend Markets are extremely popular in the Moorabool Shire. With COVID19 restriction putting and end to markets all around Australia, we are starting to get a hint when they will be back.

A spokesperson for the Darley Market has confirmed the ‘desired’ return date is the 3rd weekend of June. (20th June).

The spokesperson said, “If the state government say it’s permissible by that date, we then still have to adhere to Moorabool council policies.”

With approximately 40 stalls at each market, the market is important for the local economy.

If you would like to register your interest for a stall at the Darley Market, you can call 0488 345 145.

Ballan Lions Club market is currently also not going ahead due to COVID19 restrictions. The ‘desired’ return date for Ballan Community Market is around the 4th July.

Ballan Farmers Market organisers are meeting tonight to discuss their return date.

Another popular market for residents in the Moorabool shire is the Daylesford Sunday Market. Daylesford Market have announced their market is scheduled to return from June 7th.

A post on their Facebook page says, “Some restrictions will still apply, market stall numbers have to be limited and usual stall placements may have to be adjusted”
